How can I possibly get a good workout in only 15 minutes?
When you try O15TM, you'll understand why it's the only 15 minute workout that actually gives results: O15 is about quality over quantity. The alignment used in the O15 workout is the most efficient way to completely exhaust your muscles. Unlike other high intensity methods of exercise, you can actually push yourself to failure because it is completely safe. Once you break down the system, it's only a short matter of time before you simply can't continue, meaning your workout is over - in 15 minutes or less!
The best part is that once you get in shape, you can continue O15TM for the long term because it puts no wear and tear on your joints. You can stick with it long enough keep your results and no matter how hectic your life gets, you can always fit O15 into your day. "Only 15 minutes... no more excuses!"TM
Can I really lose weight with O15?
O15TM works because it focuses on attacking body fat and building muscle, which takes up less space than fat. Forget the number on the scale and focus on losing body fat. There are three main reasons why your body will get smaller:
1) You burn calories during the workout itself
2) Your metabolism stays elevated hours after your workout as your body attempts to clear out the lactic acid built up in your muscles
3) You get a metabolism boost as your body recovers from the interval nature of the cardiovascular demand (difficult intervals + intervals of rest)
Where’s the cardio?
O15TM gives you the benefit of a cardio workout without the negative side effects, and yes, in just 15 minutes. As the demand on your muscles increases during your workout, the demand on your heart and lungs increases. Your heart rate will rise significantly and since the rests between sets are strictly controlled, the cardio workout is similar to interval training. You will want to speed up your breathing as it gets more difficult, but by maintaining the breathing pattern we teach you, you develop greater lung capacity and control. If you enjoy cardio activities, feel free to do them for fun! O15TM will increase your cardio endurance.
If the alignment is difficult and my body tries to do the opposite, why is it done that way?
The alignment is difficult on your muscles, but completely safe for your joints. If you maintain the alignment, you will get the most out of your muscles and push yourself to fatigue quickly without risking injury. You will be taught to maintain the alignment until you collapse from muscular fatigue and cardiovascular exhaustion. Muscles are made to rebuild and repair, spurring muscular growth and strength; your joints, ligaments, and tendons take a long time to heal, so protect them!
So is it safe?
Yes! O15TM was initially designed for people with injuries who still needed to workout to their full potential. You’re not swinging any heavy weights or jumping around, instead you’re using the combination of the strategic alignment and the isometric contraction (no movement) to fatigue the muscles safely, quickly and effectively.
If O15 is suitable for all levels, will it be challenging enough if I'm already in pretty good shape?
You can do O15TM with any starting fitness level, whether you are completely out of shape or a professional athlete. A person of advanced fitness level will begin the workout with more cardiovascular endurance, so their body will be able to hold the more difficult positions for longer. Their form will also most likely be better from the beginning, so with better form the positions will be more difficult. The process of breaking down your body will be the same regardless of your starting level.
When I get good at O15, am I going to need to switch up my workout?
With typical workouts, the better you get, the easier the workout becomes. With O15TM, by contrast, the more practice you get, the better your form becomes, and the more challenging the workout becomes. Every single session is a challenge above what you could do yesterday. Your form will never be perfect, so there will always be room for improvement and greater challenges.
Do I need any sort of special footwear?
Forget about buying new running shoes every 6 months. As long as your shoes have flat bottoms (no raised heel that would change the angle of your body), you can do O15TM.
How long will it take me to be good at O15?
The more you practice, the more proficient you will become at the alignment. Some people naturally have good posture and will pick up the alignment easily, but everybody has the ability to get it right. By the end of the first 4 weeks, you will definitely notice improvements in your form and feel much more confident in your abilities. The better your form, the faster you’ll see results.
